I have some catching up to do... We are two weeks behind because we went on a trip to Maryland to have WJC5 meet my 97 year old Aunt and his other family members that live in that area. My Great Aunt Dee Dee just loved WJC5 and getting them together was incredibly special for me.

We had a wonderful time and Nana and Papa even met us there too. We enjoyed staying with them in the Inner Harbor and eating lots of yummy crab cakes!! It was a very special trip and one that we will remember forever. James and I even got to get away for our first "adult" dinner while Nana and Papa watched WJC5 for us. It was a relaxing evening and very needed. Thanks Mom and Dad!!! The weekend was perfect. :) WJC5's big trick for the week was that Papa taught him how to use his legs and pull up to stand. James had already been working with him on "walking" so WJC5 picked up on this quickly. Now, all he wants to do is stand!!! Oh me...
We also got to take a day trip to Bel Air and see Aunt Irene and Papa Gene. It was great seeing them again, even if was a short visit. And, WJC5 got a very special present. Aunt Irene hand stitched him a blanket that is just beautiful!!! He just loves it to pieces. Thanks Aunt Irene. We love you!!

Then this past week was quite a stressful one for me. I had to go back to work full-time which meant that WJC5 went to daycare ALL day. Half day, twice a week was MUCH easier than this. I was a mess!! I hated being away from him and was worried, depressed, and miserable all day. Luckily my mom came back from MD with us to help me set up my classroom. Well, little did I know I would need her emotional help even more. The first three days were horrible. The last two were a little better, but not much. I think they were better because I knew the weekend was near and I would get to see and be with him. I think last week, was by far, the hardest week of my life. UGH!!
However I did get something on Monday that brought a huge smile to my face and lots of happy tears. I got a call from the office at work and they told me I had a delivery. I went down and there were a dozen Iris' there. (My favorite flower) I got back to my classroom and I read the note to see who they were from. Well, they were from WJC5!!! I guess he "chatted" with James and got all my necessary info! ;) The card said, "Dear Mom, I know you miss me today and are worried about me, but I'm doing fine. I'm having fun at daycare and am meeting lots of new friends. She is taking good care of me and I'm getting lots of attention. See you soon and thanks for being the best mom ever! Love, WJC5." Needless to say, I cried and melted. I have an amazing hubby... and son for sure!!
And, excitingly today I have more news to share. As I was working on my blog and WJC5 was playing... he decided it was time to roll over on his own!! I ran and got the camera, flipped him back on his belly and HE DID IT AGAIN!!! :) I was so excited I got a video of it!! He has even been working on trying to get over from him back to his tummy. As of now, he only goes part way to his side, but he's working on it. This little guy wants to move!!!
The students start tomorrow. I'm as ready as I can be. This is going to be a challenging year trying to balance everything... physically and emotionally. Only 180 days until summer!! But who's counting... :)

So glad to read all that is going on. I know how special those flowers were! I still get them the first day of school and it is a great tradition. Each day will get easier when you drop him off. Hang in there! Hope to ssee you in November.
