Well, when one gets sick... we all get sick. :( This week James, WJC5, and I were all sick. I think the only healthy one in the house was Shea. I learned the hard lesson of how difficult it is to take care of a sick baby while you are sick. Not a fun week in our household. The only good thing was that I did take off from work Thursday and Friday, so I had an extra nice long weekend with two of my favorite boys.
I finally got a video of WJC5 laughing this week. You have to forgive my camera skills. Between him bouncing and me trying to get him to laugh, the video might make you want to take motion sickness medicine. Also, please excuse the noises I make. A mom will do anything to see and get her baby to laugh. Whatever it takes!!
This week we had our 4 month check at the doctor's office. WJC5 is in the 50th percentile for weight and height. He was 15.5 lbs and 25 inches long. He is getting to be such a big boy. The doctor also told us that we get to start introducing solids to him. We began with rice cereal and so far he is doing quite well. He took to eating off the spoon with ease. He is a natural!!
He has been completely sleeping on his belly now. He has found his favorite position. This week though he decided to plant his face straight down into the mattress. It scared the living daylights out of me. I went and turned his head and all was ok, but I hope this isn't a new angle that he enjoys. Yikes!!
This past Sunday, we had quite an adventurous family trip. We took WJC5 and went into New York to attend a Mets game. It was WJC5's first baseball game and it was a special and memorable day for dad and son. He had a great time, checked out the ball game, and enjoyed the music. The Mets even pulled out a win for him!!
Let's Go Mets!!!
