Week 4...

One month old already!!!! Wow!! Where does the time go? I cannot believe WJC5 came into our world one month ago. It seems just like yesterday we were at the hospital. He has really gotten adjusted to his new world. He is already sleeping in his crib in the nursery at night and doing quite well. I am up every 2-3 hours feeding him, but he is sleeping well. I think he might take after mom and dad being a good sleeper. And he does not like to be woken up. He gets a little grumpy. Hmmm, whose does he take after there??
As you can see... Shea has adjusted well to her new "sibling." However she is making sure he doesn't take her place. I've certainly got my hands full!!!
We had James' mom (Grandma Neenie) visit this week. She came up to look for a house in NJ and we were lucky enough to get some time with her. She certainly enjoyed meeting and holding her new grandson. And of course, she thinks WJC5 looks just like James!!
In addition, this week one of my best friends Tammy came to visit one afternoon and to meet WJC5. It was so good for me to just relax, gossip, and spend time with her. It was just what I needed. WJC5 enjoyed snuggling up with her too. She has a special touch with babies. He must know about the amazing cookies she makes. He knows who to butter up to!! :)
WJC5 also had his one month check up. We were thinking he was about 9-10 lbs, but to our shock, he was already 11 lbs 1 oz!!! We have quite a big fella on our hands!! He is in the 80th% in weight and 75th% in height. The doctor thought he was doing great. He got a little shot today too and just cried for a second. I was so proud of him.
My mom (Nana) swears he is smiling and it is not gas. I'm still not so sure... It makes me smile though when I can "wear" him and be hands free!!
Someone told me that they like to think when their baby smiles that they are seeing their grandparents and family that has passed. Kind of like seeing the angel's watching over them. I love that and the thought of it brings a smile to my heart...
