Week 5...

We had more special visitors this week. Great Nanene and Papa Gene drove all the way from MD to spend a few days with us. They loved meeting WJC5 and couldn't get enough of him. They even brought James and I a special treat... CRAB CAKES!!! Yummy!! It was a special visit and one that meant the world to me.

Papa (my dad) came back into town. (yippee!) and mom moved out. :( They stayed in a hotel nearby for the week. They were down the road if I needed them, but wanted me to start to transition to life without mom around. I have been doing ok, but we all sure miss her. I just keep telling myself, "I think I can, I think I can."

We had a fun surprise for my dad this weekend. For his Father's Day present, James got US Open golf tickets through work. We surprised him Friday night and the "dads" got to on Father's Day and spend the day together at the tournament. I know it was a special time for them both.

When they got home WJC5 gave James his first Father's Day present. He had to go on a scavenger hunt around the house, looking in and around WJC5's things however, to find his gift. In the end, he got tickets to an upcoming Mets game at the new stadium for us all to go together as a family. I know WJC5 can't wait for his first baseball game!!

Happy Father's Day to the two greatest men I know. I love you both very much!!!
