Week 10...

This week was quite eventful for WJC5. First, Nana came back to visit and spend the weekend with us. She was really coming just to keep me company while James went to his best friend Craig's wedding. It was wonderful having her here and I truly appreciated the distraction. We enjoyed lots of shopping and take-out. It was a fun weekend! However, I was pretty bummed I couldn't go to the wedding, but it was just to early to leave my little guy. Nana and WJC5 enjoyed their time together re-connecting though. I honestly think he remembered her!
WJC5 also had his first play-date this week. There were two other girls I work with who were pregnant the same time as me, Michele and Megan. Michele's little girl C, was born at the end of April and Megan's little boy D was born a week before WJC5. D and C came over and they enjoyed staring at each other. They can't quite "play" together yet, but the moms are hopeful that time will come soon. It was so great to just get together, compare stories, and "mom talk." This was the one good picture we got of the three babies before the crying began.
This weekend we had a sunny, beautiful day and so we took a fun drive to Litchfield. It is in Northern Connecticut and it is very nice. We went to an authentic BBQ place for lunch, a chocolate shop for dessert, and Black Lake for a scenic walk. It was a great time. After that we went out for our first adult dinner with WJC5. We went to Cheesecake Factory with our friends Andrew and Beth with their little son Ryan who is 6 months old. It was great because the restaurant was super loud so the babies just blended into the noise and we enjoyed a great meal. I think we will be going back there soon! :)

I am so thankful for this time I am at home with WJC5. I can't even imagine going back to work right now and leaving my little guy. I know it it going to be so hard, but I am so appreciative that I still have a month left. He changes every day and does something new. I wonder what tomorrow will bring... This is his 2 month picture. It blows my mind how much he has grown and changed in just one month!!

  1. We missed you at the wedding just as much as you missed being there :) Glad Nana was able to come up for the weekend to keep you company.
