Christmas - Part 1

Christmas is serious business...
The week before Christmas, my parents came to visit us. It was a wonderful weekend and we did a full Christmas together complete with Christmas food/desserts, gifts, and even a tree?
Our make-shift tree!
Enjoying present opening
Even Shea wasn't forgotten
It was very special and we are so thankful they were able to come and share the holiday with us here in CT. We even got some snow, just for dad!! :)
Dad? Is that you??
WJC5 had a blast opening his gifts and playing with all his cool new toys! Papa and Nana know how to spoil him, for sure!! :)
There are a few updates I want to share about him from the last month... Top 10!
1) He waits in his crib in the morning (and sometimes after his nap) without crying and just talk and plays. It is the cutest thing! I love to just listen to him!
2) He anticipates parts of books that I read him. There is one book we read every morning and there is one page where I wiggle because the duck shakes his tail. Well, he looks back at me when we get to this page and he smiles. He totally knows what's coming! He even anticipates the camera flashing and will now smile for the camera. :)
3) He is saying "ba-ba," "gar," "ffff," and lots of "da-da." I'm still waiting for "ma-ma."
4) He also had his first "man moment" this month. He has seemed to find himself when he is in the tub. It is quite a sight. As one of my parents' friends say... "Once a man finds his "thing," he never lets it go!" Oh goodness!! Help me!!!
5) When I change his diaper now, he just want to roll over. There are times he even pushes my hand away as I try to get it on. Quite fun!!
6) He is loving all fruits and veggies I am giving him. He's a great eater and doesn't seem overly picky. Takes after his daddy on this one!!
7) He loves water!! And not from his sippy cup. He likes to drink it straight out of a glass!! Whenever he sees us drinking, he tries grabbing our glass and pulls it to his wide open mouth.
8) He can sit on his own now and enjoys playing with things in front of him. He also goes from sitting to his belly quite frequently.
9) Still sleeping well... He goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 6:30. 4 bottles a day equaling 28 oz and 3 meals a day. 1 just fruit, 1 oatmeal and veggie, and then dinner is oatmeal, fruit and veggie. His naps are also pretty predictable... a 30 min nap around 8:30, a 2 hr. nap around 12:30, and sometimes a little 5:00 power nap if needed.
10) He's very interested in Shea. He watches her when she's around and he tries to reach out to her. Shea loves him and is very protective. Many nights after I put WJC5 to bed, Shea stays in his nursery to goes back in a few hours later to check on him.
7 Months Old!!
Where does the time go??
